Friends of Forest Hills Playground
Forest Hills Playground is located on Chesapeake Street, NW Washington DC between Connecticut Avenue and 32nd Streets. It is a very popular – high use playground – used by hundreds of children every day from the neighborhood and across the city, including during the school day by dozens of children from nearby schools including Franklin Montessori, Jenny Waelder Hall Center for Children, and Rock Creek Academy. The playground includes a variety of sturdy wooden and plastic playground equipment installed around 2002, a large sandbox, baby swings, numerous picnic tables and benches, and plenty of shade trees and perennial plantings.
